At Shunsai, we celebrate the love of every couple and the life and joy of each guest. Please join us.

Why wait a year? Introducing the Lunaversary

Anniversaries only come once a year, but we need to celebrate our love more often. Sid, a friend of ours, has been happily married for forty years. It has not been easy: He and his wife Kris have faced it all: For richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health. Slowly growing successful careers and caring for parents in dying years.

How did they survive and keep the joy? By celebrating. They invented the lunaversary, the monthly celebration of life and love. They were married on December 29, 1985, but they don’t wait until December to celebrate love. Nor should you. Join us at Shunsai to celebrate your lunaversary on a romantic date each month, perhaps on the day of your wedding, celebrating and renewing appreciation of your love in a quiet, romantic setting with delicious food.

Or come on your lunabirthday, each month on the day of your birth.

But wait! I’m alone…

For some, lifelong love has not yet come. Others, sadly, have lost those we love.

Yet we are still alive, and that is cause enough for celebration. Each month, the day that you were born is a precious reminder of life and joy. We call this your Lunabirthday. Mine is on the 3rd of every month. When is yours? Please join us to celebrate your life.

In Japan, there are ancient Shinto temples made of wood that have been standing for a thousand years. How is this possible? Not through durability, nor through magic. Rather, they are here because of a tradition of renewal. The temples are rebuilt every 20 years using age-old techniques of architectural beauty.

Please join us to renew the joy of life on your lunabirthday!
